Night three. Saw Gooferman again at my regular Sunday night haunt, Dante's. Another fine show. Again, they performed as a four-piece. Stripped down and with less theatrics than when I saw them last March. As mentioned in my last post, it was the singer's birthday. After their set, the band took seats next to me to enjoy Sinferno. It sure spiced up my night having several grown men dressed as clowns drinking, laughing, and dancing right next to me.
My interest in various bourbons is from my time in Kentucky. The only distillery I had the opportunity to tour was Woodford Reserve. So here I am in Oregon trying different ones. I tried Wild Turkey last night. It falls somewhere between Maker's Mark and Woodford Reserve. A little sweet with a hint of chocolate(?). I used to think wine tasters were a little nuts for describing wines with words like dry, nutty, round, corky, and spritzig. Dry, by the way, means not sweet. All wine, of course, is wet. If you don't believe me, pour some on your nearest neighbor next time you have a bottle open.
