Vegan Doom!!!

What's more manly than four guys at the ballpark watching a double-header and eating a couple hot dogs? Topping it off with a little Vegan Doom action from Voodoo Doughnut!

I went along with Derek, his friend Rob, and Shaun to see the Portland Beavers play the Salt Lake Bees. We had a great time. At one point, Derek bet Rob $1 that he wouldn't dive over the seats in front of us head first. He made a nice attempt, but not good enough for the dollar. That was pretty much the tone of the night. Trying to explain baseball's finer points to Shaun. Ok, truthfully...trying to explain baseball's basics to Shaun. Getting to see ourselves on the big screen. Teasing Shaun to fetch me a foul ball. Making fun of people running after foul balls. Listening to the annoying kid behind us who proudly proclaimed himself the loudest person in the ballpark. Challenging Derek to clap the longest following a home run (I'm still clapping, Derek).

The second game finished around 10:00p. Rob left a bit earlier. Derek, Shaun, and I drove to the world famous Voodoo Doughnut for a nightcap. Somehow, this was my first time in there. I'm not sure how I've managed to escape the grasp of Voodoo Doughnut's greasy hands up till now. Geez, it's across the street from Dante's! I had an ODB. Derek had a Vegan Doom. Shaun had an apple fritter (boring, dude!). A Vegan Doom, by the way, is a maple bar topped with bacon!

Derek Mowing A Vegan Doom

We dropped Shaun off where his car was parked. Derek took me back to his place where I grabbed some of my food from their kitchen before heading back to Shaun's...You know, I may just have to get married at Voodoo Doughnut next time. They allow 10 guests total. Are you in?
