i like to be let down

Had a good time last nite. Another Cynthia played at Dante's which, of course, is familiar territory for me. It never gets old, though. On this nite, I got a different kind of view standing on the side manning the merch booth.

The merch booth was set up by the stairs leading to the green room. I'd long wondered what Dante's green room was like. A few years ago, we sent a mini-keg of root beer down to OK Go. I'd hoped that we'd be invited down, but we weren't. I've seen pics of the green room, been told about it, and watched people go up and down many times. Tonite was my nite. After Another Cynthia's set, I packed up the merch and said goodbye to a couple of the guys in the band. Then I headed downstairs. Man, it's super cool down there. There were a couple people down there that I had met earlier, so I joined them and talked for about fifteen minutes. Yup, highlight of my nite.

The title of this entry is "i like to be let down" for two reasons:

  1. Another Cynthia did not play Let Down

  2. I didn't notice its omission until someone pointed it out in the green room. It's a good song. I guess they can't play everything every time, though.

  3. There were two other shows I wanted to see that same nite.

  4. Killola played at the Tonic Lounge and Oh Darling played at the Doug Fir.
