Ricky Racer

You know my life's kinda up in the air right now, but I've finally come up with a plan for the future. I've been talking about getting a 5th generation Camaro for years. However, it's potential popularity and accessibility concern me - the base model will sell for about $20K. I have reservations about driving a car that can be seen on every other block (caugh, Mustang, caugh). The Solstice doesn't have a huge presence on the road and is very attractive. The convertible looks great with the top down. However, like most convertibles, I'm not a huge fan of its appearance with the top up. So when the Solstice coupe was unveiled at the 2008 New York Auto Show, I was excited. It should come out in 2009.

Common sense tells you it's a bad idea to spend money you don't have yet. So it would be unwise to buy the Camaro immediately upon its release - especially since new models tend to have kinks that need to be worked out. I'll have been working less than a year when the Camaro becomes available. Recently, I was reading more about the new Camaro. The 5th generation Camaro coupe comes out in the first quarter of 2009 as a 2010 model. About a year later, the convertible is set for release. And sometime after that...the Z28. The Z28. It's the answer to all of life's big questions. And that's my plan. I wanna get the biggest, baddest Camaro ever - with a Corvette-based engine generating horsepower rivaling the top-of-the-line Corvette Z06's 505hp!

From Yahoo! Autos/Road & Track:
A year after launch, Chevy will introduce a convertible version and after that a high-performance Z28 model with a super-charged 6.2-liter sibling to the Corvette ZR1's LS9 motor known as the LSA.
